Halakha is a living legal system. The question I keep returning to is not whether to follow it but how — by which methodology, on what authority, with what fidelity to the texts and the people they describe.
These posts argue specific positions: that courts can annul marriages, that electricity is permitted on Shabbath, that some minhagim should not be binding, that the framework can be more generous and more honest than the current rabbinic establishment lets it be.
